External rotor backward-inclined centrifugal fan:
The difference between forward-inclined centrifugal fans and backward-inclined centrifugal fans lies in the size of the air outlet angle of the fan blades. When the air outlet angle is greater than 90 degrees, it is called a forward-inclined centrifugal fan, and when it is less than 90 degrees, it is called a backward-inclined centrifugal fan.
When the size and speed of the centrifugal fan are the same, the larger the air outlet angle, the higher the pressure generated, so the advantage of the forward-inclined centrifugal fan over the backward-inclined centrifugal fan is that the total pressure is greater. However, the dynamic pressure of the forward-inclined centrifugal fan accounts for a greater proportion of the total pressure, the air flow velocity is high, and the loss when converted into static pressure is greater, so the efficiency is not as high as the backward-inclined type.

Since the air inlet and outlet are at 90 degrees, it is very convenient to use in electrical cabinets or top-mounted scenes. From:SunxFan
